Introduction We will cover in depth the underlying philosophies and teachings of the Mahavidyas. You will learn the contemplations and their connection to your inner wisdom. Here you begin to recognize the pathways of energy in your own body and use them to balance your mental, emotional, spiritual bodies. We will explore the various spiritual practices, from Christianity, Buddhism and Hinduism as well.
The Mother Practice Ruth teaches the practice in various forms, at her Silent Stay Retreat Center; during silent retreats as a movement practice, as a weekend course 2-3 times a year and as a year long at home practice. Each movement contains mysteries that will be used to develop inner wisdom. Sitting meditation, expressive movement practices, creativity, spiritual philosophy and devotion to God as Mother, will all be tools to deepen understanding.
The Ritual involves experiencing the effect of outer and inner movement in the context of connecting with the Divine Mother. You will learn to feel & communicate the deeper understanding that comes from this, through inner experience, movement and the creative arts. Using the outer movements, the inner movements & contemplations, you will experience how physical movement is a creative & transformative approach to spirituality. Here the mystic meaning of movement reveals how the subtle and gross movements mirror & magnify inner states of awareness.
Each movement phrase is a spiritual lesson and contemplation. Following the cycle of the moon each month, we will study one movement, one contemplation and one aspect of the Divine Mother. We will learn to recognize Her wisdom flowing through our body and consciousness as energy, insight and movement. This is an advanced course on the inner aspects of Yoga and how consciousness expresses itself through the physical reality.
The movement lessons are based on the meditative practices found in Christianity, Hinduism and Buddhism. They help us to deepen our connection to God as Mother, nature and infinite love where we can rest and take shelter.
"Each movement of the ritual holds a key that unlocks the door of another beautiful level of consciousness"
